Bringing down Robert E Lee

Even in his own lifetime Robert E Lee was the most beloved and the most hated figure to come out of the war for southern independence (Often miss labeled by the North as the civil war) Even started crazy abolitionist despised him because he was the US army officer that led the successful attack on mass murderer John Brown At Harpers Ferry.
John Brown's history of bloodshed was so well documented it is difficult to understand why he became the Christlike figure For abolitionist or for that matter modern day antifa and some members of black lives matter
Browns rampage of murder so terrorized several states that reasonable people on both sides of the slavery issue condemned him as a terrorist although he became a hero to the abolitionist much as did the author of the extremely distorted and dishonest uncle Tom's cabin
Brown like the abolitionists believed the Slaves in the South were ready to rise up and revolt against their Masters, when in fact most slaves were too Complacent 2 actually do so. in most cases those revolts that happened in the South were the result of abolitionist agitation Or those plantations where masters were particularly cruel to their slaves.
Brown Like the abolitionist had a skewed view of what slavery really was in the South based on Abolitionist literature that really had little to do with the day-to-day life of slaves such as uncle Tom's cabin or the so called and often fictionalized slave Diaries popular among northern readers
abolitionists saw Brown as a hero because he believed like they believed but they did not see the mass slaughter he conducted against innocent people in his rampage and so they saw him as their champion and he did Lee when Lee brought Brown to justice at Harpers Ferry.
artist of every ilk in that error sang the praises of Brown And condemned Lee much in the same way we see the deluded artist community of today kneeling and making heroes of people who like Brown had a twisted history.
some of the most prominent riders of that day with the exception of Hawthorne compared Brown to Jesus Christ Ann Lee to Satan.
Lee became even more of a villain in these deluded people’s eyes as the war transpired and he became the military champion of the south, they refusing to accept the fact that he despised slavery as much as they did, and was against the south’s succession until his beloved Virginia joined the rebellion.
These social justice warriors became even more infuriated with Lee when he outwitted the blood-thirsty grant right up to the moment he was forced to surrender in 1965, giving him a place among some of the greatest military strategists in the history of the world.
Abolitionists with the memory of elephants insisted Lee be hung as a traitor when the war concluded and became even more incensed when he took up the post as head of one of the south’s most prominent colleges.
For the south, Lee – who only lived five years after the conclusion of the war – became an enduring symbol of the south’s refusal to accept the dictates of the illegal 14th amendment and the reconstruction it entailed.
While the North managed to write their version of history so as to claim the south fought to maintain the institution of slavery, Lee remained a nagging reminder that the war was about self-determination, and resistance against the north that exploited the slave trade more than the south ever did.
Many of the statues that have been recently torn down by the modern-day social justice warriors were mounted at the end of the 19th century as tribute to what many southerners saw as a noble tradition. But long before 21st Century abolitionists began to tear these statues down, intellectuals in universities north and south waged a campaign against his reputation in an attempt to portray him as a supporter of slavery when he clearly was not.
No period in time has been so documented as the War for Southern Independence (as it is still called in the south) and its aftermath, although much of the more popular depictions such as the Burn’s PBS Civil War series or the New York Times 1619 Projects reflect only a northern view of that period, often distorting facts to fit the north’s justification for the slaughter of so many Americans. Even the beloved novel, Roots, is drenched in misinformation, made even worse by the recent remake of the movie.
Yet even with this massive misinformation campaign to suppress the alternate view the south provided, Lee remained untarnished – but not for lack of trying by scholars with questionable motives, and by university system north and south that has long ago adopted the northern interpretation as fact. Many of the scholars deliberately set out to find character flaws in Lee that would turn him into just another southerner in love with slavery – part of a kind of intellectual salted earth policy that would continue to grind down southern hopes for revivals much the same way carpetbaggers armed with the 14th amendment did to the southern culture.
The election of Donald Trump as president in 2016 sent shivers of dread through modern day abolitionist, who like the pre-civil war breed believe all whites – especially in the south – a racists and southern pride as a pseudo name for white supremacy, a phrase so often uttered by liberals it has become an unfortunate and dangerous chant, even among thoughtful Democrats.
Todays radicals in reaction to the Trump victory set out on a campaign to finish what their forefathers have done in their attempt to humiliate the south. These radicals sought to punish those people who supported Trump by removing all vestiges of resistance these statues symbolized. While we hear over and over how these statues offend people, the truth is they represent an unapologetic testimony to the spirit of the south that defied northern aggression even in defeat.
And once again Lee became the focus of wrath because his image remained untarnished despite a scholarly campaign behind the scenes to prove once and for all he was a racist, when history clearly shows he was not.
But the public outcry only followed decades of dedicated research by scholars determined to bring down Lee the way radicals have his statue, digging through the massive materials generated by the war and its aftermath for clues that might paint Lee in a more negative light – scholars often inventing misinformation when they could not find the smoking gun much the way Uncle Tom’s Cabin was created out of whispers of truth.
In some cases, such as one essay that depicted on the University of Virginia website is completely fabricated, making conclusions about Lee that better research show just aren’t true. But because these scholarly lies are posted on scholarly sites, these become evidence against Lee especially in regard to his position on slavery, the revolution and his position on both in the aftermath of the war. One site claimed to have a slave letter depicting Lee as forcing slaves into hard labor in order to get as much profit out of them before he was required to set them free – a conclusion contradicted even by some of Lee’s harshest critics.
Lee because the executor of father-in-law’s estate in 1857 with the mandate that he set them free within five years, something he accomplished despite the outbreak of the war – and with kindness according to several scholars who otherwise disliked Lee.
Lee didn’t just set them free; he gave each of them money in order to cover some of the costs associated with travel and relocation. A number of these former slaves even kept up correspondence with him from places as far away as Africa, thanking him for his kindness.
Lee reportedly did not own slaves of his own – although several scholars claim otherwise – but his wife’s family did.
Lee, however, did relocate some escaped slaves – a matter of controversy since favorable historians claim he sent them to another plantation where they would not be a risk of reprisals.
Some scholars have pointed to the fact that officers under Lee’s command re-enslaved free blacks and captured escaped slaves during some of the battles Lee oversaw. But even the most diehard anti-Lee scholars could not prove he knew anything about these any more than historians could prove Union Gen. Grant knew about union soldiers under his command gang-raping black women on raids in the south – although the Union Gen. overseeing the occupation of New Orleans did instruct his troops to treat all southern women as if they were prostitutes.
The single most durable monument to Lee, however, came in 1934 with the publishing of a four volume biography by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Douglas Freeman, a biography that elevated Lee to international stature, and further infuriated the politically-correct northern establishment determined to put Lee in his place among other racists.
But as universities became havens for liberal scholars, the effort to discredit Lee and Freeman seems to have intensified sparking a whole new wave of anti-southern scholarship and books dedicated specifically to prove Freeman wrong.
Freeman’s work drew on a dearth of information never before presented, taking 20 years to assemble, and shaping volumes so rich in detail and research that these volumes represent the most accurate betrayal of Lee, and one so positive as to stir up the wrath of Anti-Lee scholars.
Two of the most ambitious efforts to discredit Lee and Freeman came in the second half of the 20th century, “Man of Metal” and “Lee Considered.”
The author of “Lee Considered” actually professed to admire Lee and then went on to completely misrepresent Freeman’s scholarship and to make suppositions about Lee barely if at all supported by evidence. “Lee Considered” attempts to prove that Lee actually supported slavery (even though there is ample evidence to show he did not) and that Lee secretly plotted to join the confederacy at a time when Lee’s letters professed to oppose the dissolution of the Union.
The author in attempting to discredit Freeman’s work, claimed Freeman did not question Lee’s claims taking Lee’s statements as the final word on any subject, when Freeman clearly did question Lee’s claims.
What Freeman said, however, was that he would not impose his own beliefs about what historical characters thought but would rely on documented evidence to convey what Lee thought.
“Lee Considered,” however, is so loaded with the author’s assumption as to be dishonest, most of which have little or no documented evidence to support the author’s conclusions. A phrase in one sentence in one letter out of the thousands of letters Lee wrote became justification for extensive and otherwise unsubstantiated claims that Lee actually supported slavery. This conclusion by the author allowed the author to further extend his unjustified accusations to claim Lee agreed that the war was about the preservation of slavery, when Lee clearly and on more than one occasion, said the war was about the south’s ability to determine its own destiny.
“Lee Considered” went on to accuse Lee of secretly plotting to take a lead role in the military operations, this solely based on the short time frame between Lee’s resigning his military commission with the north and his accepting a commission to oversee the Confederate troops in Virginia.  There absolutely no documented evidence to support these claims either, but this does not stop the author from using his conclusions early in the book to justify even more ludicrous conclusions later on.
The available documentation shows that Lee agonized over the breakup of the union but decided he would not lead the Union army against his home state. He also clearly stated on many occasions that he was opposed to slavery and agreed with the emancipation of slaves in a timely manner.
Despite claims made by supposedly repeatable scholars (mostly selling a northern view of Lee and the war) Lee did not mistreat his slaves – and appears not to have actually owned any, but served as caretaker for those his father-in-law left him and those owned by other members of his family.
As Freeman noted, Lee had very little interaction with slaves prior to his being serving as administrator for his father in laws’ estate.
While Freeman’s admiration for Lee is unmistakable, his work relies on the most extensive volume of documents of any Lee biography before or since, delving into areas of Lee’s life no biographer bothered with before or since.
Lee was not perfect and some of the other volumes on his military career show he made some serious blunders – such as ignoring the west campaign during the war as well as things he did at Gettysburg. But these are the stuff that make up mortals.
Yet despite the rage by social justice warriors and regardless of how many of his statues they demolish, Lee’s reputation remains untarnished, an icon not just to the south, but to any lost but noble cause, a man who did not fight to preserve slavery, but for the right for the south to determine its own destiny.
Until the new abolitionists and their questionably ethnic scholars come up with real evidence to dispute Freeman’s research, Lee remains one of the great monumental figures of American history.

Nothing but the dead and dying in my little town

Friday, July 3, 2020

Jersey City has set up machines at all its municipal buildings to make sure that people who are coming in aren't dead.
“We don't want to make the same mistake we made with the nursing homes,” said one official who noted that the testing of senior citizens in nursing home and other senior buildings that started after the bodies started piling up that was a dreadful mistake.
“this official said we knew they were having a problem in Italy months earlier.
“But we thought the seniors in those senior centers were dying because they were Italian,” the officials said. “Thus, not to make the same mistake twice now we are going to make sure that when you come into a municipal building, we know you're alive.  We going to check to make sure you still have a heartbeat and that you are still breathing  -- standards we consider are two of the good classic signs that life, even if we might suspect you might be brain-dead and mumbling about tearing down statues.”
This official said the city is being proactive even though it comes six months after the pandemic hit.
“We consider this an innovation we are really proud of,” the official said. “Of course, we never stopped
tracking people in restaurants to make sure they are not dead and are relying on good citizens to report other people who might violate our rules. We simply do not have the manpower to seen police to every house to check if people are
This idea that the can protect you from death itself is one of and outgrowth of other brilliant ideas that have been generated from this administration over the last half decade – such as trying to keep people who jaywalk from getting hit by unsuspecting drivers or creating bicycle lanes to protect bike riders who would otherwise by running over pedestrians on the sidewalks.
“We admit that in the past we were so busy protecting sea turtles from unscrupulous plastic bags that we largely ignored this Public Health crisis,” this official said. “The whole idea that technology can be used effectively to detect when a person is dead is something we have not yet realized before. Technology has come a long way to saving lives now we can determine whether they are alive or dead just by having you passed through machine.
And we will assure you that when you are dead, we will know about it
The officials went on to say that the city has been vigilant in other areas.
“We made sure that you did not catch anything from the city parks by insisting you wear face masks,” the official said. “Unfortunately, we missed the fact that people who are being admitted to the hospitals for other diseases were catching it there and dying. But we managed to get enough ventilators to make sure they could breathe their last breaths.”
The new technology may prove useful in the future in preventing places like City Hall from becoming the same kind of breeding ground for disease as hospitals and nursing homes – and since the governor of the state is not likely to send sick people into city hall the way he sent them to nursing homes, the death rate in municipal buildings is expected to be very low. First responders – who were also significantly impacted by hospitals will be relieved to know they won’t face significant risk if required to respond to city hall for some medical emergency such as the mayor stubbing his toe on Frank Haig’s desk.
City officials are still investigating how they might use similar technology to check for dead people flocking into newly opened taverns – admitting only reluctantly that having locked up ordinary people for four months may have caused patrons to overreact.
“When we let people out of county jail because of the virus, we told them to go home – and we’re pretty sure they did,” the official said. “But when we told people we locked up in their homes that they could go out, they rushed to bars to get drunk. Who would have thought? What were these people thinking – that they live in free county or what?”
Prosecuting bar patrons and releasing prisoners from jail has won the city praise from Gov. Murphy.
You know if Murphy praises you, you must be doing the right thing-- although this is a little like getting praised for by Mussolini for keeping the trains running on time.

Paint it black

Thursday, July 2, 2020

What pisses me off the most about cancel culture movement isn't the fact that they are deluded  into that they somehow exclusive rights to right and wrong; it is the fact that they hate the Baby Boomers and yet have ripped off all of our ideas.
The same type of uncool middle-class kids who put on tied-dyed t-shirts back in the 1960s and said “groovy” a lot, these days put on Black Lives Matters t-shirts and take knee.
They say that those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it and all that's true with this crew of morons – the spoiled middle-class brats that in our era grooved up to the Black Panthers or became fanatic bomb throwing weather-underground – seem to be repeating the same mistakes we made while somehow believing they are doing something original and are deluded into believing there are doing something socially responsible when in reality they are just pretending to be cool.
They are doing exactly the same things we did and doing things that ultimately failed.
And for some reason they think the original – and worse, they bash baby boomers who they somehow see as their enemy.
This new brand of white progressive radical can't even come up with a name that is original using “cancel culture’ instead of “counterculture” that we used.
Like we did when we emerged as “the new left” in the 1960s, the new Cancel Culture crowd deals in stereotypes, condemning any white person that opposes them as a white supremacist while claiming whites stereotype people of color – living up to that old adage about the pot calling the kettle black.
Lincoln might have freed the slaves, but since he wasn’t pro black these whackos try to tear down his statues.
The whole racist pandemic began as a kind of revenge against people who this new new left perceived as Trump supporters. Groups of fanatics pumped up on Howard Zinn and their copies of “Rules for Radicals” started to tear down confederate statues and flags – claiming that these things were offensive, but has since become a savage attack on western culture itself (thus its copycat name Cancel Culture.)
Current and historic western leaders were put to the litmus test of whether or not they supported slavery in the distant past ignoring the fact that many of the people they condemned were  those who actually worked to bring down slavery. These morons tore down statues of people based on some deluded classroom exercise by some frustrated baby boomer Professor who has been teaching them the Howard Zinn crap version of History ignoring all the Inconvenient truth such as real facts.
“Rules for Radicals” is largely a rewritten version of Richard Nixon’s book of dirty tricks in which you are allowed to lie, cheat, steal, burn or character-assassinate as long as you believe you represent “right.”
Rules for Radicals is the new Machiavellian text that says anything to be gained power is legitimate lying cheating stealing when you believe you have the moral High Ground.
The problem is that there is no “ truth.” There is no absolute right or wrong in the way they represent it, and that these people operate on the belief that they have sole access to righteousness.
When you're on a religious quest like they are, facts don’t matter, neither does it matter that the human beings they pass judgement on are much more complex than their black vs white litmus test.
They have boiled down everything to stereotypes in much the way racists did about people of color in the past – judging current and historic figures based on their belief that if they once owned slaves, once foolishly wore black face or one said something racist in rage, they are condemned as racist for their rest of their lives no matter what they have done to benefit humanity.
These cultural idiots find some moment in a person’s long life and judge their own lives by that moment, not by the total accumulation of their actions.
These cultural assassins judge you by the worst moments of your life, when you were stupid or ignorant or young, and the brand a scarlet letter of racist on your head. These so-called revolutionaries are so drunk on their own power and so puffed up with their own inflated egos, they don’t know what they don’t know, and worse, they don’t care.
The worst of these are the white dweebs and high school losers, who finally found a way to get even with all the cool kids they envied. These are the morons that find some “cool” professor or teacher who fills their heads with sawdust philosophy and then sends them out in the world to create havoc, each of these foolish white kids putting on a black lives matter t-shirt as if this somehow made them part of the oppressed class – an act far more ludicrous than painting their faces black, they actually want to be black and can’t be because they mostly are middle class kids who grew up without a clue as to what African Americans experience, who base their judgements on other white people on stereotype – calling anyone who dares disagree with them a white supremist or racist, ironically become racists in their own fashion since they are doing exactly what they claim white people do to blacks.
Of course many of the progressives who are the most aggressive appears to be suffering from this incredible painful condition called white guilt which explains why so many of them suddenly got very generous and start donating to Black colleges in other places after having grown up ignore race entirely.
There is this old concept called “projection.” a psychological condition that has its victim seeing his or her own condition in everyone else when the only person who's really suffering from the disease is him or herself and so you have all of these wackos running around screaming about racism and what's really is happening is they are really seeing their own reflection in the mirror or Plato's Shadows on the wall and assuming that other people are racist when they are in complete denial of their own racist urges.
So in a desperate attempt to prove how they are not racist they go searching for statues to knock down and force confrontations with cops or with white radicals who they always wanted to provoked -- the idea that if you cause them to react then you prove that the world is racist.
The most insightful and enlightening moments came this week when Seattle was taken over by this group of nincompoops and they got to show what government would look like if these progressives actually had their way and it somehow doesn't really differ from the world that they are complaining about.
As in every community there were murders and segregation in fact it was self-imposed segregation as African Americans choose to separate themselves even from their white allies by setting up a little village within the village into which only black people could go.
These are the people who are telling us that George Washington should not be considered great even though he created a nation that helped eventually freed the slaves. They tell us that Thomas Jefferson is flawed because he – unfortunately lived at a time when he struggled to come to a solution of slavery and had did not immediately and slavery when it was clear America would not exist if they had done so with the foundation of the country.
America would not have existed had the founding fathers attempted to outlaw slavery which is really what these Cancel Culture idiots want.
One Lunatic even complained that the Declaration of Independence was the beginning of oppression in America.
“That was the start of everything,” he said, proving just how ignorant he and many of his compatriots are about the foundations of civil rights and civil liberties, and how much the civil rights movement of the 1960s owed to the struggle these founding fathers suffered. Did they make mistakes? All revolutions do, but their revolution was based on knowledge, not the deliberate ignorance that plagues the Cancel Culture movement today.
The real sad part is that this is a disease that has infected our intellectual community, where colleges have become breeding ground for this misinformation with not mask or social distance capable of containing the spread of it.
So we see liberal institutions like Princeton disassociating itself from people like Woodrow Wilson – who like many people of his time said racist things – but who also fought the nation’s biggest pandemic while also fighting and winning a world war, and set the stage for what would become the most progressive institution in the world, The United Nations.
Instead of balancing human flaws against those deeds that benefited humanity, these radicals condemn label historic figures as racist, when they did much more to make up for this one flaw.
This new cancel culture condemns you to Eternity in hell for something you might have done in your youth or something personal flaw that you may have overcome later in life. These questionable cultural revolutionaries learn their history from fortune cookies and then destroy real history that often vindicates the people they condemn.
Of course since they are largely repeating the patterns established by the Baby Boomers the fate of these movements will largely be the same they will self-destruct in their own idiocy and it's some of the these young ignorant and naive kids start growing up to the reality that the world is infinitely more complex than their counterculture philosophy makes it and someday they're going to have to raise families and earn a living and at this point they may actually grow up. Unfortunately, they have set the standard so that in the future when people look back their lives will be judged by these stupid actions they do today.

New Jim Crow? I don’t think so

The Democratic strategy has shifted after the COVID-19 destruction of the national economy seems to have failed to achieve the anti-Trump effect the Democrats hoped for.
After countless staged protests around the nation since the conclusion of the 2016 election, pointless and often criminal attempts to impeach Trump, Democrats have resorted to the most fundamental political strategy: race war.
In a desperate attempt to get back the support Democrats lost when African American voters revolted against the candidacy of Hillary Clinton, the Democrats appear to be trying to recreate Jim Crow, raising questionable claims about systemic racism when statistics appear to not support these claims.
Media being complicit with this move is quick to clamp down on any of its own that dares to raise questions about the legitimacy of the new black power movement – such as the newspaper reporter who was fired from her job in New England for writing a column in a conservative publication raising such doubts.
Critics of the new black power movement are in a double bind – especially political leaders, who must choose between providing safety for their community and caving into the demands of a radical movement whose soul purpose is to shift control of the government drastically to the left.
Even some of the most ardent white supporters of Black Lives Matters have serious doubts about the tactics used in this new revolution. While these liberals have no problem punishing rural whites who voted for Trump by tearing down statutes and outlawing flags, when these radical protests come to their towns, these liberals board up their windows and wait for the first to start.
A Cherryhill councilwoman made the dreadful mistake of comparing looters and rioters to animals and was forced to resign for what was considered a racial slur.
But she reflects the thinking of a lot of liberals who give lip service to the Black Lives Matters as long as the fires being set are in black neighborhoods or in towns where the population voted for Trump.
To raise questions about these protests is to invite being called a racist.
The Democratic Party appears to be riding this wave of misguided hysteria as politician after politician takes a knee. Elected officials whose scripts are being written by Democratic think tanks have suddenly woken up to racism, even if in many cases, this racism is exaggerated or even manufactured.
This appears to be an effort by the Democrats to recreate the 1960s Civil Rights movement, only lacking the fire hoses and Jim Crow laws that inspired truly remarkable leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Democrats are scapegoating law enforcement for political gains with the hope that if the Democrats can create some new breed of Freedom Rider they might regain the White House and all the economic spoils that come with control of the federal government.
While there are some truly racist cops – just as there are racist lawyers, bus drivers, bakers and such – the massive shift towards ethic and racial diversity has made it almost impossible for systemic racism in police departments, or for that matter in most government.
The Civil Rights movement and its aftermath created the greatest move to create equality for blacks in history, with massive government investment into schools, housing and social programs.
While law enforcement appears to have gone too far in sentencing guidelines that resulted in long terms for people convicted of minor crimes (many of who are of color), massive changes over the last two decades have led to early release, drug intervention, bail reform and other positive changes (including the restoration of the right to vote), hardly the stuff of systemic racism. In fact, students from high school to collage have become so indoctrinated with liberal teaching it is difficult to find where exactly the systemic racism exists in education.
While there have been outrageous acts committed against crime suspects such as the horrible murder of George Floyd, national statistics show that twice as many whites are killed in confrontations with police as compared to blacks.
This is somewhat unfair comparison.
Conflicts in the hood have a whole different tenor than rural or suburban, and race tends to play a key role in those conflicts where blacks dies.
Urban conflicts are often a power struggle, where suspects often deliberately taunt cops, testing the limits in a conflict that sometimes leads to violence even death. Part of this has to do with the perception of powerlessness many urban blacks feel where cops always seem to have the upper hand.
It isn’t so much the 400 year history of slavery that rears its ugly head, but white flight after World War II when many blacks moved north in what is called the Great Migration, flooding cities that did not have the resources to provide for them, often competing for jobs with whites who had struggled through the great depression and union conflicts.
Contrary to popular belief, a majority of northern whites did not want the slaves freed leading up to the Civil War, fearing that freed slaves would become competition for jobs and other resources – something that took nearly a century to happen.
White flight took jobs and resources out of the cities and left very little behind for the newly arriving blacks to inherit – piss poor schools, shitty jobs, and relief program meant mostly for short term unemployment.
There wasn’t enough quality housing. Worse still, many of those arriving from the south came from fractured families – Slavery had deliberately broken up families arriving in Hatti from Africa in order to avoid the culture rebellion typical of the Italians, Irish and German immigrants or many of the later immigrant groups such as the Indians and other Asians, who when arriving in America seemed to succeed where African American did not.
This wasn’t institutionalized racism keeping the blacks down as many radicals – and opportunistic Democrats – claim today, but a shattered internal social structure that left many of young blacks with no guidance, no structure, and often resulted in their building artificial family structures such as street gangs.
The ghetto became a breeding ground for crime and drug abuse, with no social structure to deal with it except law enforcement.
Billions were spent to build housing projects that later became incubators for crime.
The radical civil rights movements of the 1960s turned into massive crime wave in the 1970s and 1980s, and misguided public officials (many of whom are kneeling these days) passed laws that sent many young men to prison for long periods of time – mandatory sentencing that even lenient judges could not defy.
Legislation passed under the LBJ administration and implemented by the Nixon Administration poured even more money into the cities in an attempt to deal with poverty – good money after bad, some claimed, since the social programs – largely operated by Democrats – did not addressed the structural problems many blacks faced.
Worse still, affirmative action and welfare did not accomplish what they were designed to do and became targets of Republican outrage because it seemed the more the country spent in these reparations, then less effective the programs because. Ghetto moms collected more welfare the more children they had – especially if the fathers were not around.
While the GOP tried to cut these funds and reform welfare, it was a Democratic President, Bill Clinton, who derailed this important safety net, forcing people off the welfare rolls – often leaving whole families without medical coverage and a limited food supplement.
Clinton was credited with saving the economy, but he did it on the backs of poor blacks who went jobless, homeless, and often were forced even deeper into crime.
Obamacare was a desperate attempt to restore welfare without actually calling it that, but it did not deal with the fundamental issues faced in the African American community – lack of jobs, poor education, and a still-fractured family.
Democrats scrambled to find new ways to deal with these issues, repealing the odious laws that put people of color in jail unfairly, creating social programs to reintegrate people back into the community. Bail reform and other programs attempted to make up for mistakes of the past and defied the mistaken notion that there is systemic racism. If anything, the system has bent over backward to fix the historic problems faced by African Americans.
But to point this out and to challenge the radicals – black and white – who insist on knocking down statues, burning buildings and looting business – is to be labeled a racist.
Accusing someone of being racist immediately it didn't validate anything they say or any objection they have to the tactics being used by the so-called New Black Panther Movement .
The strategy here is if you're not with them then you're against him and there's no gray area between the sides.
This is the kind of logic that led to the Mass Slaughter in the Civil War when do were other options that could have been taken but the radicals had dominated the conversation to the point where violence was inevitable
This is part of the reason why many black historians hate Lincoln because he refused to take the most radical position and ultimately was forced to go to war to defend the radicals even went in his heart he hoped for a more peaceful solution.
The problem here is that this is not pre Civil War or even Jim Crow are but a. After nearly 60 years of reforms and efforts to help the African American community.
One idiot from black television network suggested that African-Americans should get $14 trillion in retribution this comes from a campaign that has been wages by this new intellectuals to somehow claim that North and South were equally culpable in slave trade.
The truth is most of the northern conservative really did not like slave trade for reasons that had nothing to do with human dignity, but resented the fact that their manifest destiny would not go to them exclusively, but might be shared with slaves they did not import.
A number of historians claim the north benefited from slavery as much as the south and so should pay reparations, failing to note that only a handful of these northern opportunities did, and that most immigrants – in particular the Irish and Italians – lived in squalor in the north nearly as bad as the slave quarters blacks fled from.
Many of those who have actually backed the abolitionists were actually more racist than the South and opposed the Dred Scott decision because it through open the doors to the spread of slavery West when the north wanted exclusive rights to the West for whites only.
Southern courts actually ruled that the slave in question in that decision should have been set free, citing not only southern law, but English law upon which the American system of justice was based.
Webster – a very vocal critic of slavery – blamed the Abolitionists for prolonging slavery since the loud obnoxious rhetoric detailed anti-slavery moments in the south, which actually outnumbered similar groups in the north.
Even then, many of those who led the confederate army had started to educate and free their slaves in the decade before the war, seeing the end of slavery as inevitable. Even Forrest – a former slave dealer prior to the war and later the founder of the KKK – came to realize slavery was wrong. He constructed the KKK as a tool to fight the carpetbagger abolitionists who raped the south after the war, then disavowed the KKK when the group started attacking former slaves.
Lee, Stonewall Jackson and others not only educated their slaves – sometimes against the law – but set them free well before the war.
Several historians point out that slaves were not as helpless or hapless as abolitionist propaganda made out, and that there was already negotiations going on between slave owners and slaves to modify the system and improve conditions for slaves – in much the way similar issues were being resolved in the north through unionization, and to some degrees less violently.
Southern whites attempted to make slavery seem less odious by making it seem more like a feudal system of lords and serfs. Many slaves used this to negotiate better treatment and to develop a kind of bill of rights for all slaves.
But the deluded abolitionists – much like those of current radical movements of today – were too impatient to allow this process to work or for slavery to fade away as an unworkable economic system.
The north had already imposed tariffs on the south that would eventually break the back of slavery – as Lincoln and other moderates hoped.
Even after a bloody war that slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Americans, Lincoln hoped to save the south. His death allowed the Abolitionists to seize power and then punish the south instead.
Jim Crow laws emerged not because of overt racism, but out of revenge against the northern abolitionists who and destroyed a whole culture. The radical abolitionists operated out of their sanctuary in the north through surrogates (many former slaves) and because southern whites could not get even with these northern assholes, resentment against blacks became a serious issue – the KKK killed people, Jim Crow laws punished them simply cause they were symbolic of northern oppression. Over time, resentment became racism and eventually led to heroic actions by people such as MLK.
Lincoln's position was that if you isolate slavery who would eventually die out and that was his goal and so by containing slavery eventually the western states would out vote the South and would have much more say in what kind of Labor Force occurred in the south.
Media outlets in particular New England drowned out the voice of moderates as the abolitionists pushed for immediate emancipation rather than gradual release of slaves . Some groups advocated for voluntary freeing the slaves which was probably the most popular in the South or in some cases the payment by the federal government to release the slaves that's causing a massive crash in the economy that would have destroyed North and South.
This idea of reparation now is purely money bread but it is also a promise to buy votes in the upcoming election since black extended not to come out in the numbers the Democrats needed in 2016 explaining why Hillary Clinton's campaign crashed.
But the new breed of abolitionist in selling its brand of hate acts as if all whites everywhere are racist and that racism pervades the system when the opposite is true.
While there is no shortage of white supremacists, they are a very small minority, partly invigorated by The Clinton Administration to suppress them – often violently.
We hear liberal preachers telling us that white supremacists are everywhere, just the way we used to hear this about communists.
Because there are so few neo-Nazis to put on display, the new radicals need to build their movement on the backs of cops – some of whom might be racist, most of whom are poorly trained and often provoked into violence they did not intend.
Strategy from the Democrats seem to be to destroy the economy that Trump built and secondly create a new civil rights movement that would paint police as being in league white supremacist groups.
These are code words of course for strategy to undermine the legitimacy of a Trump presidency white supremacist hardly make up the numbers that the black lives matter movement and antifa claim . Like all extremist groups the white supremacist make up a tiny fraction of the GOP and even some Democrats are racist the way some African American groups are racist and extreme.
But by painting all people who are opposed to some of the strategies of the Democratic party as Racist, the Democrats take the high moral ground that they claimed during the Civil Rights Movement and thus make the African-American much more amenable to message the back their candidate for president in November.
Since law enforcement tends to vote Republican they have become the target of abuse even though statistics show that in confrontations with police twice as many whites are killed in African Americans.
Media of course attacks people who criticize this message and so you have this student who working for a newspaper publishes an article questioning some of these mandates in a conservative magazine and then gets fired from her job at the newspaper.
It is terrifying 1984 type stuff that we are witnessing and it is difficult to determine where in the end this will go except back down the same road that was taken to the Civil War because the right whether or not we'll feel impinge by this incredible violence that is taking over cities by so-called new civil rights and they will respond in kind this becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The CDC cannot be trusted

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

A few days after New Jersey shut down due to coivd 19, a Notorious Democratic spin doctor got irritated when I questioned why we are destroying the economy for what amounts to a common flu.
he assured me it was much worse than that and that he had put his faith in the well-educated doctors at CDC.
Usually when this person put his faith in something, I knew it was a political scam but this time I more or less gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Since then the CDC has been about as consistent in its forecast my friend with his tarot cards; telling us masked were not necessary, then mandatory; telling us that the total deaths for the country would be as many as 1.7 million then downsizing this three or four times.
At first, they told us warm weather would kill off the virus then it said it wouldn't.
The CDC then told us that sunlight killed the virus and then retracted that as well only to later reinstate that.
It told us lockdown were necessary to Flatten the Curve and then told us the lockdowns are unhealthy.
The latest scam came last week when the CDC which originally said that the virus could linger on inanimate objects for hours days or even weeks, then issued a statement saying that it did not.
This week reissued a change in this claiming that the original statement was unclear.
How unclear is the statement “the virus does not linger on inanimate objects?”
All this has the same lack of validity I always got when dealing with scientist who promote the concept of manmade climate change --  that the whole thing is more about politics than science and then the influence on the scientist was about how to redistribute wealth.
This made me think of by spin doctor again and his confidence in the CDC and made me envision some behind-the-scenes arm-twisting to get the CDC to comply with the Democratic yarn.
This is the kind of torture that the church in the great old days used to pull teeth keep priests from deviating from the true faith.
And since my spin doctor had so much faith in the CDC to pull of this political scam, I began to realize why he try to sell me this fantasy and why the CDC has been soap utterly inconsistent and it's reports.
I began to think that there was a battle going on inside the CDC between real scientists and the political fakers who are there to do the Democratic bidding.
The ultimate game is to keep people scared and if they're not scared then to confuse the hell out of them so that they don't know which rules to follow.
This week CDC appeared to savage people who think the virus was a lot more spread out by claiming that half the antibody tests are wrong.
This is an old political trick to discredit and do damage control against conflicting information that may be more accurate than the CDC is producing.
All this strongly resembles that old adage about if you can't win then Dazzle your opponents with bullshit.
The fact that we are being told inconsistent things is why so many people still walk around the street clutching their masks and their gloves as if life preservers.
We have a more than compliant media that keeps pumping up the volume, creating new scenarios and new dangers so that the public remains on edge.
Then we have the other extreme -- the artists and disc jockeys -- who are singing Kumbaya and assuring us if we only obey the rules everything will be alright.
I can imagine them broadcasting on the Titanic after the iceberg hit to those who could not fit in the lifeboats.  While we have a pack of Democrats helping to bail water only not out of the boat but into it trying to get the ship to sink faster.
At some point, the public needs to wake up and realize the rules do not make sense and that neither the Kumbaya crowd or the “let's sink the ship” crowd have our best interest at heart  and it is stupid to follow constantly changing rules that don't make sense.
The CDC cannot be trusted.

Murphy as the Wizard of Oz

Tuesday, May 26, 2020

You have to love it grandmothers and grandfathers died in nursing homes and our governor has decided to sell t-shirts.
Everything is a marketing tool. With Murphy’s poll numbers are so tremendous that he can afford to look like a complete jerk.
This isn't the governor's doing. It is his Democratic Entourage this Brain Trust of complete empty-headed men and women to do not get the fact that the governor has stripped people of their freedoms, caused people to die and is still holding power like God, and he's selling T-shirts.
I suppose that one of this group of brainiacs realize that selling a bobblehead of the governor was not exactly the image they wanted to portray since it was a little too accurate.
This largely represents our leadership today especially among Democrats who try to polish their image on the shrouds of the people they have help kill.
The fact is this has been a routine since our governor got elected how to look like he is doing the right thing showing an example.
But it never feels sincere.
He always seems like the puppet with some marketing consultant somewhere pulling his strings.
Since most of what comes out of his mouth seems scripted you have to think that he is simply following the party line perhaps with the ultimate aim of being considered someday a presidential candidate.
Sometimes watching him do this press conferences you get the feeling that he is playing all four male roles in The Wizard of Oz.
At times, he seems like the scattered brain scarecrow pulling threads of straw out of his head well as other times he seems like the Cowardly Lion.
With this pandemic of course he comes across as the hollow chested tin man who has no heart, no sympathy for the people he has made victim.
His last appearance with his face mask on Seaside boardwalk seems to indicate him playing all three of these roles at once. Some think tank idiot decided having him show up at the blue-collar seaside town would someone ingratiate him with the working class – a class he hasn’t a clue about since he’s a wall street blue blood at heart.
Murphy has about as much in common with the common man as Prince Harry.
This leads us to the fourth role Murphy plays so well, the wizard himself, who his supposed to save us from the pandemic, this magical being who is a total fraud and is really  pulling the levers of his political machine to create the illusion of leadership.
His entire role is to keep up the fraudulent front of leadership desperate to make sure he pulled the right lever at the right time and says the right thing scripted for him by Spin Doctors.
It is not much of a surprise that he would be selling T-shirts at a time when many ordinary people face total disaster as a result of his decisions.
And while he is walking down the boardwalk in Seaside his Stormtroopers are shutting down stores because people can't wait to continue their livelihood.
Because he is so much an airhead like the straw man, he just takes for granted that his spin doctors actually know what they're talking about.  meanwhile he cowers behind the mask and hopes nobody noticed how much his hands shake on the levers of power.

Give me liberty or give me…

Monday, May 25, 2020

Almost from the day the governor closed down the state I thought there was something wacky about our reaction to what is largely a serious flu epidemic.
(Don’t let propaganda COVID-19 is influenza).
Why is government seizing civil liberties because of an outbreak that strongly resembled several others that I have lived through my life.
Of course, the idea that the Democrats might have hijacked an epidemic in order to win a national election did occur to me. I just didn't think that even Democrats – as despicable as they have been since the 2016 election-- would sink as low as that even after the Kavanaugh catastrophe and three failed attempts to impeach Trump. It is one thing to try to impugn the reputation of a single man and to lie and cheat and steal and do everything to bring down a president, it is quite another thing to stand on the bones of American citizens to regain power.
It wasn't until one of those political shysters I typically talk to told me how much this pandemic was different from others and non-political but I began to suspect this was a Hail Mary pass by a desperate party seeking to seize control.
This is not to say the pandemic isn't serious it is.
I’m saying that the reaction is hysterical even by government standards.
And to believe that government has decided it has the Godlike power to control a virus is terribly discombobulating.
It's one thing to control plastic bags to save sea turtles or to ban hair spray to save the ozone, it's quite another thing to shut down the economy in order to keep us safe from a flu.
But the egomaniacs who we had elected they possibly actually think they are doing a good thing by destroying American principles in order to protect us from this plague.
I would rather believe that we have a pack of nincompoops for government officials rather than a democratic plot that would bury our grandparents in order to regain the White House.
But after the last 4 years of watching America go hysterical over an election, I suspect political fools may be capable of doing anything for political power.
At first -- after poo-pooing the idea that Democrats might have brought down the economy deliberately -- I thought this might be some kind of test.  We have anticipated a biological attack on America by terrorist for years but have only really done tabletop exercises as to how government would react and better yet to gauge the reaction of real people in a real attack.
I thought maybe there was actual intelligence behind the government's reaction and that they would look to this to see how the economy faired and how people would respond.  Would we Riot the way our Irish ancestors did in New York when Lincoln sent their kids off to die in the Civil War?  And would this result in a list of people who would become the ringleaders of opposition?
As it turns out, years of brainwashing in public schools appears to have had a calming effect in that people reacted the way the government appears to want them to have -- like sheep.
If you have a compliant media turning up the volume about the deaths that happened without showing that most of them happened in nursing homes and appeared to be the result of government action,  sending sick into the most vulnerable populations rather than sending resources in to keep them safe the least vulnerable of the population – people will then be terrified into believing they will die too.
Unfortunately, I have seen people died in past pandemics especially the 1969 pandemic that killed more than a hundred thousand Americans and infected over a million worldwide.  Nobody tried to shut down the economy; nobody stomped on American civil liberties. Back then leaders actually tried to help people who might be at risk rather than exert social control to protect people who are unlikely to come down with this death grip.
Now as the pandemic winds down like all pandemic in the past have, I'm still uncertain about the motivation behind the Hysteria.
We have stupid people still doing stupid things such as mocking people who refuse to wear masks, still worse rioting in stores or reporting them to the authorities.
I always wondered how good Germans in the 1930s could be taken in by fascist.  How could they be so gullible as to follow a line of thought that eventually led to the Holocaust?
Now I know.
It is no longer a choice between Give me liberty or give me death.
We now live in a society where people are so terrified of dying that they don't even consider Liberty worth dying for.
I guess if there is a list of agitators in this test of social control did my name is probably near the top.
I’m proud of that.
