Why the capitol uprising is a big deal?
You might be scratching your head to wonder why so many of our most prominent legislators are upset about the invasion of the Capitol building last week
It is not like stuff hasn't happened like this before.
We have seen it in Chicago for the Democratic Convention. We have seen it in places all over the globe in Paris in 1968. Many of my friends were at the takeover of the Columbia University. One of my very closest friends was the one pictured in the New York Times sitting the desk of the college President smugly smoking a cigar much like the capital Invader did in Pelosi's office last week.
We have seen protests that have attacked Federal buildings in Portland and radical movements in Seattle we have even seen troops firing on protesters such as in Kent State – killing people.
But few things have so rattled the nation’s leadership as the event in Washington on January 6th.
And for good reason. Not since the early days of the nation have our legislators seemed so vulnerable.
These elite and isolated bastards were for their first time in their political lives confronted by the people whose lives they as their decisions have affected.
Living in the ivory tower inside the beltway, this arrogant people could send our kids to war, deaths registered as a statistic in the next defense bill, they pass. These are the same people who with the scratch of a pen can determine if you will get a stimulus check by which to feed your family or pay your rent – holding hostage your future in order to stuff their legislation with political pork that benefits China or other places these people have business interests with.
These people can steal your jobs, your homes or kids without retribution – even managing to steal ballots you cast so they can stay in power.
They can do this with impunity because they assume, they were safe in their hollowed hall.
This is why you have a governor of New Jersey who can literally destroy people's businesses and their livelihoods because he has 500 Stormtroopers he can send any place he wants at  any time.
This is why the governor of New York in the kill your grandmother in the nursing home because no one can get near enough to him to actually put punching in the face.
This is why a head of the Congress can destroy a hairdresser's livelihood and force her to close because no one is ever going to hold Pelosi accountable.
These are people so removed from the real world and make decisions that are arbitrary and destructive and never know the consequence because they never have to look real people in the eye
All that changed on January 6th when those people showed up where the legislators live and it scared the crap out of Congress because for the first time they are not protected.
People brought the war to them this was no longer just some far-off protest in Portland where federal troops are being harangued by rioters. This was the people coming into the halls of Law and pushing their agenda into the face of the most arrogant legislators in the world.
But more importantly, the uprising allowed this political elite to finally bring down Trump the way a similar autocracy brought down Napoleon two centuries ago.
Trump is the 21st Century Napoleon who dared to drag down the monarchy American people didn’t really know existed, a monarchy that transcends political parties, that created royal families like the Clintons, the Bushes, the Obamas, even the Romneys, families whose rule shifted from time to time, but always among each other – that is until Trump.
This is why the establishment went ape shit just the way they did back in Napoleon era when mortal enemies such as the British and French and Germans came together to destroy the man who threatened to upend the perpetual power game they played.
Washington’s uprising is a kind of French Revolution in reverse. Revolutionaries at that time were the politically correct who so ruined the nation that Napoleon had to put the pieces back.
January 6 was Napoleon's uprising and had to be put down because the royalty cannot stand the idea that real people might have power.
Trump like Napoleon, however, is doomed to fail because the powers that supported the royalty in Europe back in the early eighteen hundreds could not risk having an upstart like Napoleon because it threatens royalty elsewhere this allowed the French Aristocrats to hook up with their archenemies the British Aristocrats and Aristocrats everywhere to come together to bring down Napoleon much the way the aristocrats of contemporary times need to bring down Trump.
This is the reason why mainstream media and the new social media conspired to destroy Trump – all beggars at the aristocratic throne, unable to stand the idea that they would lose status in court if Trump was to succeed. This is particularly true of the Washington Post and the New York Times whose reporters serve as court jesters.
Trump obviously spoiled the game and has gotten the heart of the people and that is dangerous.
Once you start up that road it means that no one is safe; you can no longer make these decisions that destroy people lives and not be held accountable.
The Washington uprising dumped the issues right into the face of the most arrogant Aristocrats of our time, those people whose role is very much like the royalty of the Napoleon era that has to destroy Trump or Napoleon because if you let a things like this get out of hand then no one is safe.
You can imagine how these arrogant Aristocrats must have felt watching the hordes of people pour through the doors much like the French Revolution stormed the Bastille ,determined to drain the swamp themselves after the aristocrats have managed to bring down the Napoleon.
And like the post Napoleon era we are watching the Aristocrats restore the power of the royalty – the Clintons, the Obamas, the Bidens, the Bushs, the Pelosis, and once again look down at the masses and say “let them eat cake.”
But you can bet for the first time in their lives they are looking over their shoulders uncertain about what may happen when they foreclose on people's houses or when their decisions destroy someone's restaurant or when they kill someone's grandmother in the nursing home.
The kings and queens may not have had their heads lopped off, but they won’t ever feel safe again.

Are you now or have you ever been a supporter of Donald Trump?
For those who voted for and supported Trump, this is going to be a rough ride – at least for the next two to four years.
The Democratic reaction to the protest in Washington DC this week has all of the ear marks of the second half of Tale of Two Cities – which depicted the massive purge by political correctness during the French Revolution.
At least we don't have the guillotine to worry about or that old lady knitting as the heads roll into a wicker basket at her feet.
But we are watching a panic in the White House at staff flees the sinking ship, using the invasion of The Capitol building as their excuse.
Mainstream media is spinning the whole affair into something that has dangerous implications. Some officials claim people will need proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to get pass ports and other legal documents. But there may be no hope for those whose documents are marked with the indelible stain of having once supported Trump.
Trump has become the new Titanic with rats jumping off the sides to avoid drowning in the sea of allegations that media is drumming up.
But many realize they have already waited too long, even if they are abandoning the ship two weeks before the new captain takes over.
The new Democratic majority will be looking to chop heads, seeking people to blame for the last four years.
There's already talk of punishing those people who supported Trump—the same kind of vindictiveness we saw in the Dickens novel as well in places like Soviet Union.
As it turns out it will be the Democrats who drain the swamp only it's not going to be the swamp Trump meant when he took office.
The political Purge will focus on people associated with Trump marked for life and worse maybe prosecuted for crimes Democrats imagine they have committed.
Has Michelle Obama has been spouting  again Free Speech by conservatives as social media starts purging its roll of conservative voices.
The problem is that if you remove legitimate means of protest and of access to power then you feed the beast that you claim you oppose.
Back in 2009 the biggest recruiting tool for white supremacist was the election of Obama. The same will be true now -- perhaps even worse -- as the Democrats tried to get their pound of Flesh.
Just who gets purged is going to be a big question and will there be tribunals to decide whether there were war crimes committed by Trump supporters.
It is a very, very scary time to be alive and to have opinions that don't agree with those that are being fostered on us by a very questionable media.
In some ways the aftermath of the Trump Administration will has made things worse than they were before when we were all in goose step with university-brainwashed people who insist on having a political correct Society.
We can expect this new elite to force us into politically correct thought or get purged from the planet.
What is that old saying about when they came for the gypsies no one did anything?
Of course, rioting is stupid and it only feeds into the hysteria that the Democrats have been promoting for 4 years and gives justification to whether ever repercussions the Democrats intend to impose.
In the past the GOP is always been smarter than that, licking their wounds after a loss and then reorganizing for a future election.
But if the Democratic Purge is as bad as it appears it will be then they will build an opposition that will be just as bad.
Unfortunately it's going to be fueled by the gloating of the Democrats who was worse to element with out-of-control even before this and now will feel enabled.
Before the election a lot of celebrities talked about leaving the country if Trump got re-elected a lot of Trump people may be forced to leave, and perhaps – if Gov. Murphy’s sending troops to Washington indicates -- even at gun point.

With social and mainstream media censorship going full tilt, nobody will know who actually invaded the Capitol building yesterday – Trump radicals or Antifa disguised as Trump supporters.
But in retrospect, it probably won’t matter since the moment will become symbolic of a right wing uprising regardless of the truth, fulfilling the wet dream fanatics of extreme leftist who have built their political careers on selling the dangers of the White Supremacist movement.
For Trump supporters, the moment may well become as symbolic as the opening blows of a new civil war or American Revolution, if not Fort Sumter, then perhaps Bunker Hill or the Boston Tea Party.
For four years, Trump supporters have had sand kicked in their face by left-wing beach bullies, managing for the most part to keep their temper – although with the perception that the Democrats stole the national election and Democrats plan to reconstitute the constitution to make it impossible anyone like Trump to win in the future, we are seeing deep frustration.
While conservatives like Pence are willing to play long ball in the hope that the damage the Democrats do won’t be as bad as it will likely be – in the hopes of recapturing government later – most Trump supporters saw yesterday as the end game in which all hope is lost.
There's an old concept that people without hope have nothing to lose and so the antifa the black lives matter movement have been renting and rioting for 4 years leaving a road map for reaction on the right.
Justice Roberts refused to look into the legality of the election hearing massive riots in the streets if he in the Supreme Court reversed the election.
He mistakenly assumed that Trump supporters would remain docile and go to the cattle cars like sheep.
Whether or not yesterday's invasion of the floor of the house was it staged event by antifa, it is also wake up call to everybody that the riots in Portland and elsewhere legitimized violence, and has become a call to arms that may soon reverberated through the country as people come to believe the system no longer works on their behalf
If you blatantly steal it election (as it is perceived by many) then no one is going to trust the system to rectify that mistake and we will soon see that the alternative for transition of power becomes violent again as it has been in other places throughout history.
Left-wing pundits have been screaming about the danger of right-wing extremists and yet have given the right-wing the perfect recruiting tool this perception that there is no social justice for them.
This is a terrifying concept that we will now see more violence like this now that people have gotten the taste of it and you need to remember that those who are more extreme on the right are generally better armed than those wimpish idiots in the antifa who pretends to be macho on her basically store clerks.
The anti-insurrection is movement has been in the works for decades as many on the right assumed that we would eventually get to fighting in the streets .
Many of the black lives matter protest that turned violent in Portland and Seattle may well been read as giving validity to their worst fears, with groups secretly arming for the inevitable begin to see their options evaporate as the extreme left flexes it legislative muscles.
More rational conservatives are ultimately right in believing they can retake power in two years when the liberal extremists attempt to implement their agenda, turning Biden into what he really is: a castrated cow.
The other non-violent solution is for those States who are about to lose their constitutional right to secede from the union and form a new Confederate States -- an unlikely scenario but that most accurately reflects the deep divisions we face as a nation.
But I suspect black lives matter and antifa have set the model for social unrest that will likely reverberate over the next two years rather than peaceful logical solutions and those Republicans who refused to challenge the election results will now live to regret that decision since they are the ones who pushed people into a place where they have no hope or no trust in the system and see these GOP turncoats as the new Benedict Arnold.

Several reports show that since Phil Murphy became governor, New Jersey became the state seeing the most people moving out.
This is not a coincidence. The governor – like most progressives – appears to be implementing systems that are bound to fail, perhaps intentionally.
This week the governor of New Jersey is expected to grant driver’s licenses to undocumented workers.
More than a little ironic since the state struggles to keep motor vehicle offices open.
This also comes at a time when the socialist governor wants to do away with diesel vehicles – and since electric vehicles costs so much, undocumented people won’t be able to afford them.
New Jersey’s socialist agenda also insists people adopt alternative modes of transportation. The governor must mean scooters, because he can’t even get the trains to run on time – or keep social distance on the overcrowded trains when they finally do arrive.
This also comes at a time when the state-run transportation network is cutting back on bus and other public transportation services to the poorest neighborhoods in the most crowded cities where most undocumented people live.
All this might seem as if the governor is mentally ill, or totally incompetent, but a study of socialistic systems since the turn of the 19th into the 20th century shows a similar pattern of behavior – this kind of mixed message when it comes to social justice.
So we now have hey governor in my state who is expanding free education to illegal immigrants when the system can barely handle the amount of people who already being educated
We are granting driver's licenses to a massive expansion of people when we can't even keep the motor vehicle offices open to handle those already there
Of course by offering to get rid of student loan debt we are basically ripping off the colleges and also imposing that fee on the taxpayers and it kind of redistribution of wealth ultimately however the idea is to create a system of education that is completely paid for by taxpayers
Obamacare could never have possibly worked partly because of the volume of people that are being thrown into the system including illegal aliens. This is a plan made to fail.
How much Democrats really believe in the system working is hard to tell and who the actual beneficiaries of these failed plans are.
Some conservatives believe that people like Soros and the owners of Hi-Tech companies are really disguising a capitalistic rip-off of public-sector behind the mask of social justice and change.
But it is clear that if you do away with cars and do not expand public transportation you are asking for failure.
This is what's happening in many states. In New Jersey lack of engineers have canceled trains, while the governor is claiming he wants to do away with fossil fuels and get people out of their cars.
This idea that you give driver's licenses to illegal aliens at a time when you are promoting public transportation is hypocritical at best and at worst it conspiracy to make sure public transportation falls on its face.
Instead of improving public transportation expanding train service making public buses work, New Jersey appears to be designing a system that increases traffic and therefore increases global warming (if that is real) and creating a system that can't possibly sustain itself.
Bill Clinton destroyed the welfare system in the 1990s by forcing people to getting work. This flooded the low wage job market an artificially kept wages low.
We are seeing a reverse of this now with the minimum wage law required $15 an hour which means that the system will not be able to sustain as many low-wage workers and so many more people will be seeking public assistance.
This is at a time when corporations are already shutting down restaurants forced to close because of covid-19. The unemployment rolls are skyrocketing.
You might think this logic of inflating a system that can't handle the already inflated numbers is insane. But it's not. There's logic behind it if you want people desperate enough to inspire revolution.
Conservative series suggest that Marxism has been doing this intentionally for the last century just deliberately destroying social welfare services by inundating them and making them unsustainable.
Marxist hated FDR because they claimed that his social reforms in the 1930s help save capitalism.
This was pure bullshit. FDR was pure Marxist, and his motives for creating social safety net was to create the foundation of a socialist state. But it was also a means for socialists like himself to make a fortune providing the social services to the poor.
America has some of the wealthiest socialists in the world – from FDR to Obama. Even Bernie Sanders and Nancy Pelosi live the high life, while promoting the implementation of a socialist agenda.
The problem is for most Marxists is that it wasn’t enough.
This gives you the real idea behind Marxist socialism this is not to make life better for people but to inspire revolution.
Marxist believe that people will not revolt if they are too comfortable and so the concept behind Marxism is to destroy institutions that provide social safety net in order to get people so desperate that they will overthrow the government.
This is perhaps why the1960s Marxists so hated LBJ - because the civil rights movement and the Voting Rights Act helped undermine the basic concept of human misery.
The strategy behind the Marxist movement became how to overwhelm the institutions that were set up to help alleviate need. In other words, Marxist deliberately planned an attack on welfare and other systems of assistance in order to overwhelm them and bring them down.
The Great Migration is a perfect example. Radical socialists were encouraging families of former slaves to move north to jobs that did not exist.
Italians, Irish and Germans built up the industrial base that created jobs right up to the turn of the 20th Century – at which point the socialists began strikes that completely destroyed whole industrial cities such as Newark, Paterson, Passaic – even when some of the owners of the mills in places like Paterson and Lodi treated their employees well.
More than half the former slaves after the Civil War ironically never left the employ of their former masters and lived a fairly comfortable life. But they were lured north on the promise of prosperity; many of whom arrived just in time for the Great Depression.
They helped overwhelm the social services FDR instituted, just as the socialists of the 1960s helped overwhelm LBJ’s anti-poverty and affirmative action until they ceased to function.
This may will also be the strategy today in the idea of open borders the more people who flood into the country and depend on public services – which are administered by Democrats at taxpayer expense – public services and systems will fail.
It is a planned attack hidden in a velvet glove.
Is it an accident that Democrats are dumping people out of the jails (when there are too few jobs or resources to accommodate them) at the same time radicals are demanding defunding of the police?
Social Warriors appear less interested in helping the poor than inspiring them to riot.
The Democratic party appears to be so desperate to embrace this new socialism that it is blind to the fact that the more people they put into a system the more likely that system is going to break down – and for the Marxist element of this new socialism, this is exactly what they want.

It is amazing just how much the Contemporary Democratic party resembles the brown shirts and red shirts of the Nazi era Germany and Soviet Russia.
This is because fascism is not a right- or left-wing issue and so you can have socialist fascism as easily as you can have right-wing fascist; all you need to do is create scapegoats such as the Jews in Germany and everybody else in the Soviet Union.
Western white culture is the current scapegoat; but this could change the minute a new minority rises up to oppose the current socialist agenda.
George Orwell of course is out of fashion because he highlighted this fact that socialism has been promoted by many of the elite of his era wasn't really an honest socialism it all butt fascism in disguise.
Orwell was a socialist but understood that any socialism based on Marx was ultimately fascistic. Marx was not interested in social justice. His idea for social reform was revolution – which required the masses to be as miserable as possible. This would stir them to revolt.
The German fascism did not end with World War II. When Hitler’s brown shirts drove out socialists red shirts, they came to America and took up positions in universities here where they continued their long-term campaign to recreate their version of a fascist society here.
We have seen it before the rise and full of various groups over the years some of us have lived through in the 1960s each time the founding fathers and the Constitution seem to be protected against this outlandish takeover
But each time the monster returned more Furious and curiously more intolerant and yet tolerated by the general masses. The Vietnam War became one of the great rallying cries that was used to create this underground state and to mobilize ignorant naive kids into violent action against the nation
So, you had a two-tier class system those who went to war and those who went to Canada were those who hit out on campuses for decades and slowly began to organize a different kind of revolution one, we are currently seen on every college campus as intolerant and as monstrous as the re-education camps Nazi Germany proposed.
Marx mistakenly assumed America would become the first nation in the world to become a communist state. He failed to take into account the independent heritage of the American people. Socialism didn’t work in the United States – even when Franklin and Jefferson tried it for the development of the Ohio Valley. Ironically, Georgia started out as a kind of socialistic, anti-slave colony and soon came to realize it was not a workable model. Neither was slavery – but that took longer for the south to realize.
The current socialism in America is based on the Marxist model – which requires the complete tearing down of existing social structures in order to encourage people to rise up and overthrow capitalists.
The fact is socialists came into this country in the 1930s as the Soviet Union pets; they were die-hard Stalinists right up until Stalin made The Pact with Hitler (and some even later than that) although some began to realize it was a huge mistake that there was very little difference between socialist and Nazis
We have had a lot of spin out of Hollywood and out of liberal colleges about the purge of communist that happened in the 1940s and the 1950s.
This is rewriting of history by the Marxist socialists of the 1960s (such as SDS and the Weather Underground). The fact is the Communist were taking over the college's then and it was these purges that stalled the eventual takeover at least for a generation
You have to remember the Socialists were infiltrated government and the social is did give the atomic secrets to the Soviet Union
Reagan’s move to purge Hollywood was very appropriate since Hollywood was being taken over by socialist at the time just as it has become since
Perhaps the biggest change in America between then and now it is the fact that the college has managed to breathe a new kind of journalist and the Socialists managed to take over publications like the New York Times the LA Times And The Washington Post
This control has become even more manifest with the takeover of Facebook Twitter and other social media sites. Google has become so dangerous that it has lived up to George Orwell’s prediction of Big Brother.
Perhaps the most disappointing thing in this last election cycle was a takeover of Fox News by Soros and Company proving one axiom that we always knew media goes where the money is and it can be bribed just like anybody else
Other since have pointed out the slow and steady goose step to the current situation in which we have brown shirts or masked people tearing down statues they don't like and a leader of our legislature who is informing its membership of what language they can use on the floor of the house.
All this is done to support so-called equality.
As Orwell pointed out in Animal Farm, there are some people more equal than others. Celebrities like Bruce Springsteen are particularly guilty of this, selling of their souls for medals, book deals or even a stint on Broadway, protecting their own status while promoting the demise of other people’s.
It's all scary because we never really saw it coming
Today Covid-19 has become the grand opera of organizing, the ability to scare people into force them to comply. This is not much different from the Patriot Act which gave far-reaching powers to the government. But now we are seeing a kind of out-of-control fascism that seems to be in fashion.
We have pseudo intellectuals who are talking about Howard Zinn and Marcuse and Marx and other radicals as if these were people who were honestly giving us truth when all they are doing is giving us propaganda.
The 1960s ended when the naive kids grew up and realized that this kind of socialism isn't in their best interest and they rejected it to become Reagan democrats and more conservative Democrats.
But the current crop of kids has been so indoctrinated from preschool and subjected to a curriculum deliberately designed to undermine the founding fathers that it is difficult to see if they will ever grow up.
Are we now condemned to a permanent fascism as the Democrats who now take control rewrite the Constitution to fit this socialist agenda?

Nancy (Not her real first name) Pelosi just banned the use of father or daughter on the floor of the House of Representatives.
This is the pathetic world we live in where we ban language – such as the Washington Red Skins and the Cleveland Indians. Our governor has even banned the use of the word, freeholder. Dare you say any word in the forbidden comics used to use?
Some idiot professor at the University of Michigan claims brown bag lunch and picnic are racist terms, making me want to bring my brown bag lunch to the campus and have a picnic.
I’m laughing too much at these absurdities when I ought to be scared.
We have a generation raised on assholes like Howard Zinn and Marcuse, instead of getting a real education.
These are moral morons with a lot of amazing letters dragged behind their names, but no common sense.
We live with the illusion of social justice – people shouting from the roof tops about a revolution they know nothing about.
We are training our middle- and upper-class kids to become radicals, when they clearly know nothing about “the people” they profess to set free.
This sickness didn’t start with whackos like Zinn but harken back to a group of psychotic socialists commonly referred to as the Frankfurt School, who brought their mental disorder to the United States when fleeing Nazi Germany and the infection spread through our schools faster than COVID-19 ever could – one of whom was the Marxist Marcuse, who students included Zinn and other nut jobs.
Zinn has so infiltrated academia that versions of his distorted history are even being taught in elementary schools.
It became hip to have professors that evolved from this crew. I had one in college, but even then, the breed was rare. We had liberal professors, just not the extremists like him, extremists who bred like cockroaches and eventually became the dominating species we have today – arrogant, self-righteous morons determined to brainwash rather than teach.
Going onto a campus like Princeton is like traveling into the heart of Soviet Russia where language is controlled, and free speech prohibited. We started by creating the concept of hate speech, and now label everything we disagree with in those terms. We call anyone who disagrees with us a White Supremacists or worse, because to label them is to discredit them. We also do not believe in free speech or free thought. Our intellectual elite is selling a new kind of fascism while labeling everything other than its beliefs as fascist.
It is still hip to be hypnotized, the zombie masses of over-educated morons that have since become the professors passing along this sad mythology to the generation.
Everybody wants to be the Abby Hoffman or Bobby Seals of this generation. We can sexy black women in stretch pants pretending to be social warriors, and white liberal girls aching to become saviors of the universe, all drinking the same poisoned Kool Aid in the illusion of cool.
It is a cult that we have seen before and will see again as people need to relive past failures – the kind of madness that infected the masses at the end of the 1960s until people grew up and became adults and stirred up the old greedy human nature that is central to humanity’s survival.
We teach our kids the illusion of social justice that is not real, it is a fantasy created in a test tube and dumped down the public’s throats at intervals until we realize that the final product resembles more a beast than salvation.

It doesn’t feel like a new year, even if the calendar says it is.
We used to celebrate the change more in the past, just the way we used to celebrate Christmas.
This year I heard the fireworks going off as I drifted in and out of sleep, but I did not look over at the clock, caring little that its clicks plunged us into a new year and a new decade when I have yet to come to grips with the change of century now 21 years in the past.
Too many people have passed on for me to feel nostalgic either, the way I always imagined I would feel at this time of life.
In two weeks, it will have been a full year since Pauly passed, and that became the end of an era nobody seems to consider important but me.
When I look out the window this morning, almost nothing has changed. The news station rants and raves with the same horror stories. Cats move through the yard in search of the same mice or birds or other vermin.
I have not filled the bird feeder and so I have the same irritated winged creatures clinging to the telephone wires, impatiently waiting for the moment when I do.
We are living in the aftermath of an election I am desperate to ignore, knowing that the real change will occur in two weeks when a new president takes over and we plunge deep into some soviet-like state we have spent the last century resisting.
We are a nation of social engineers determined to correct all the errors of the past, often destroying the very fabric of what made this nation great and unique in the first place, new legions of overly educated ignorant zombies parading through our lives with banners they mistakenly called social justice.
We have yet to come to grips with our reality; this new generation learning nothing from the past they seek to destroy.
So, as some better mind once contemplated, we are condemned to repeat the same mistakes we thought we had learned from long ago.
Everything is circular, the ups and downs, the swing to the right or left. Nothing we do changes the over all pattern, except that we phrase it differently, create new myths to explain things the old myths no longer seem adequate to explain.
We have people who believe they can change the world – a modified version of man as the center of the universe we once took for granted until people like Columbus proved us wrong.
You can’t argue with people who peddle bicycles and protest power plants because they are not merely on a mission from God, they believe they ARE god, capable of leaping tall buildings in a single bound.
I do not know what Pauly would think of the change. He had swung sharply left in the end of his life from a more conservative viewpoint back when we shared an apartment in Passaic – and so he might actually have approved of this new breed of bible thumpers who clutch copies of the New Green Deal and cite verse of salvation if we would only due away with plastic bags.
I doubt if I will live to see things swing back the other way, as they must as some point, or perhaps see the world change so fundamentally, I will not recognize the next version the way many Germans watched their world change so many decades ago.
Those who create this brave new world will have to live with its consequences – and it is really sad.
