Journalists as dementors

Thursday, September 06, 2018

Reporters are like Harry Potter’s dementors, it is not in our nature to be kind.
Never, never trust a reporter to have your best interests at heart.
People need us to keep them informed, but we are not a trustworthy lot.
If a reporter looks like a saint, run the other way. Contrary to popular opinion that have pained Woodward and Bernstein as saints, the last real saintly journalist was Walter Cronkite, and even he would be turning in his grave if anyone actually called him that. Saintly journalists since then have largely been frauds.
This is particularly true of Woodward and Bernstein who seem to have sold their souls to the devil and as Woodward’s new book shows, are still paying back the demonic Democratic party for elevating their status to myth.
Watergate remains one of the great myths of our time, a con job of political proportions that is currently only rivaled by the myth media and the democrats are creating around the Trump presidency.
Watergate myth is designed to cover-up one of the greatest political coups in modern history, and one media and Democrats hope to duplicate in bringing down Trump.
This is not to endow Nixon or Trump with sainthood either, no more than the confederacy can be exonerated from maintaining slavery at the 1808 deadline set by the ratification of the constitution.
All power players are suspect; all of them operate in the same shadowy area, doing the same despicable things, governed by their own rules and selling its services to the highest bidder. This is particularly true of media which have become hired guns to a political establishment determined to drive sheepherders and farmers off cattle ranches, the way Billy the Kid did.
Over the last half century, media has largely been bought off by clans operating inside the Democratic Party – the Kennedys, the Clintons, and most recently the Obamas.
This is the ultimate truth behind Watergate, which was a well-crafted media bushwhacking rivaled only by the current crop of gun-slinging journalist out to get Trump the way their predecessors brought down Nixon.
Media since 1960 has done its best to cover up the questionable tracks of Democrats – with the exception of LBJ who they saw as a hick and Humphrey, who they saw as an LBJ clone.
Media with its love affair with Obama are still protecting the Democrats, even though as the Clinton campaign showed, democrats do nearly everything Watergate claimed Nixon did.
Since the death of JFK, media appears to have wanted to steer voters to selecting particular Democratic candidates such as RFK, Ted Kennedy, Clintons and Obama, while dissing non-mainstream candidates like Bernie Sanders.
The purpose of the current collaboration between Democrats and media is to bring down Trump and the GOP so that media can coronate the next president from one of the royal families.
Woodward publishing his book prior to the mid-term election raises serious questions about the role he and the Washington Post played in helping to create the Watergate myth in the 1970s, and how media and select groups of attorneys associated with the Kennedys worked to create an atmosphere of guilt that drove Nixon from the White House.
The fact that most of the so-called evidence used in the Watergate witch hunt remains sealed until 2028 leaves the story of Watergate to be told by questionable sources such as Woodward, who is now stretching his blood stained fingers out towards Trump in the same way he did Nixon, doing the dirty work of particular interests, the way he did in the early 1970s. Part of this is his duty to defend the Washington Post which is about the most corrupt of the news media today, but most likely, he is doing this because he was encouraged to step out as the saint of the Watergate area so as to cement the new accusations and feed into the mythmaking media is trying to accomplish again – making a Watergate out of the same collection of questionable special prosecutors, lying and self-serving former Trump allies, and a power hungry Democratic party desperate to derail changes to the federal government the Trump Administration will institute, especially in the high court.
In a power struggle like this, you can’t trust any of the players, especially when it is clear, some of them as in modern media, have taken sides, and are determined to steer public opinion along the same channel they did when crucifying Nixon.
