Old school date night was a nightmare back when there were only two genders to worry about.
A guy shows up,
then waits as the gal fusses about what dress to wear, what color lip stick,
how to wear her hair.
These days of
gender fluidity you don't even know if it will be a girl or boy or something
unaffiliated that walks down the stairs when you get there.
Gay relations
made great changes to the dating scene after Stone Wall Inn riot in 1969. But at least you knew the gender of the person
you made a date with would be the same gender as the one you met when you
arrived.
Of course, this
gets infinitely more complex if both parties in this arrangement are fluid.
What if both
decide they wanna be boys that night or girls? What happens if their outfits
clash? And who is responsible to pay the tab for dinner? And who is responsible
to bring the dildos?
God help us all
if they want to get kinky. Will there be arguments over which one is submissive?
There is the
dreadful disappointment it the expectant partner when his or her date decides
to be unaffiliated or worse decides he or she is a cat or dog or even a pet
rock and you mistakenly bring flowers and candy instead of cat or dog treats.
What if in mid
date your partner changes his or her mind? Who then gets to lead on the dance
floor?
Or even changes
his or her mind in the middle of sex and starts meowing!
And if your
partner bites or scratches you at the height of passion, will you need to get
shots for rabis
or distemper?
What about the
good night kiss when you take him or her home as a different gender than when
you left, and you don't happen to be gay at that moment he or she identifies as
the same gender as you?
Hopefully
someone will soon come up with a guide for dating.
