The U.S. Soccer association is scrambling to do damage
control after an official video showed some of the American Women’s team
turning their backs during the playing of the national anthem.
While some of the members stood and faced forward with hands
over their hearts in proper tribute, others had their hands behind their backs
and faced away.
The association claims that the players were confused as to
whether or not they should face the 94-year-old WWII veteran who was performing
the anthem or the flag.
This, of course, is a team that is expected to compete for
America in the U.S. Olympics, and you have to wonder whose goal net they will
be kicking the ball into if they get so confused during a simple recitation of the
national anthem.
Unfortunately, it has become fashionable for American Olympic
athletes to attack the country they are supposedly supposed to represent. Like movie
stars, rock stars and professional sport stares, these miseducated amateur athletes
want to become part of a social movement to help satisfy their twisted and sadistic
college professors, who ache to relive the failed and discredited theories of
the 1960s through their naïve counterparts of today.
The association desperate to avoid the expected backlash claims
these athletes were simply confused, but also took down the official video showing
the disrespect from their website – which showed none the miscreant athletes
facing the flag or the performer.
All this comes after the outrageous behavior of Olympic-bound
Berry, who did something similar during another rendition of the anthem and was
later exposed posting anti-American diatribes on social media.
We are clearly breeding a generation of ungrateful spoiled
brats, imbeciles too mindless to realize that they are imbeciles, but feel
compelled to make statements that will allow them to maintain their status in the
pop culture.
Back in the silly old days of their pathetic professors,
activists used to measure their status by how many protests they attended (or
banks they blew up), marking their rank in the antiestablishment movement the
way Boy Scouts earn their rank through merit badges.
These days we see an even lazier breed of self-important ingrates,
when all they need to do it kneel or turn their backs.
