The end of the GOP as we know it

Sunday, September 20, 2020

If you give the Democrats an inch, they’ll take a mile, and still want more.

Hearing the ranting and raving that is going on in the Democratic camp as Trump gets ready to nominate a supreme court justice makes me realize I was wrong yesterday and that if the GOP doesn’t make the appointment, it may never get the chance to when the new term starts.

Nothing will motivate Democrats than a chance to retake control of the Supreme Court.

So failing to make their move now, the GOP risks losing the court as well as the presidency – and it is possible even if Trump gets reelected, the GOP could lose the majority in the Senate, thus losing the ability to name a conservative replacement for Ginsberg.

Republicans want to take the vote right away and my first indication was to not do that but I realize we are already in the Crusade and that we cannot avoid making the vote because if we don't then the Democrats will be inspired to beat Trump in order to win that seat in January.
Media of course is back to its usual tricks of priming the election in the vote by selectively picking certain stories to cover and others to ignore such as the New York Times covering Trump supporters that seem to have disrupted voting in Virginia at the same time ignoring similar Antics by antifa and black lives matter
Since people only get such information through media there is no way for most people to know that they are being manipulated and so we have people who are literally brainwashed into believing that Trump supporters are some out of control when it appears the opposite is true
There are lots of conspiracy theories and lots of premonitions about what might happen but essentially if you get the vote now and managed to get the GOP candidate In-Place this would go a long way to deflating the Democratic effort to beat Trump.
Problem is the GOP is not the Democrats or the radicals but their own membership and how to keep them in line. Unlike Democrats, the GOP tends to be more diverse were at least tolerant of other opinions and so some of them who do not like Trump may be willing to throw away this chance to actually get a conservative Court.

The question is doing the GOP have the votes?

Collins is facing an uphill reelection and so has abandoned the party to save herself, even though it is unlikely she will win anyway.

Murkowski seems to play both sides of the aisle and is apparently gambling on support from Democrats if Biden wins.

Romney is a complete waste.

But if these three votes with the Democrats, they could jeopardize the nomination.

Some foolish Senators talk about being fair comparing this to the Obama year when the GOP deliberately stalled until after the election, a brilliant move even if a little bit calculated that allowed the court to shift to the right.
It is foolish at this atmosphere to actually mistake fair play for good maneuvering and then there would be any doubt about what the Democrats do if they were in a similar position.
The Kavanaugh hearing should make it clear just to what lengths the left will go to derail this selection.
Hillary Clinton is already made it clear that there are no more rules that the Democrats should do anything possible to stop this appointment.
And since many of the activists that are destroying cities throughout America operate by a book called Rules for Radicals anything means anything – lie, cheat, steal.

That's the rule book for the Democrats power grab.

And if the GOP expects to survive it has to at least react in a similar manner doing what it can when it can before allowing the Democrats to take advantage.
Ginsburg herself play politics with a seat refusing to step down hoping that a Democrat could step in it to the White House and avoid the whole concept of a conservative judge being named.

Even to the end of her life, she played this political game – playing it even on her deathbed, wishing fit to the seat would not be replaced until a new president came into office.

She knew just how much this would fuel the Democrat resistance, giving some hope at the end of the rainbow, some illusion to fight for, and if the GOP wants to win it better crush that hope by naming somebody now.
This of course means pulling back into the ranks the people who are their own GOP Outcasts, those who would betray the party for the sake of being anti Trump.

This is not about Trump this is about the future and allowing a radical element to seize power when you have control of it

This is in the hands of the GOP not in the Democrats and if the GOP allows it to slip away then it may just well watch the end of the GOP as we know it.
